WEEK 1: Oriental Derby Preview

After a long absence of club football due to postponements and political intrigues, the NPFL finally kicks-off in style with Saturday’s Oriental Derby between Enugu Rangers and Enyimba. The game which promises to be a pulsating encounter will be played at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium where last season's runners-up Enugu Rangers will host eternal rivals Enyimba who finished in fourth place.

Rangers Face Deplation

Enugu Rangers have lost the services of some of their key players ahead of the resumption of the new season. The Enugu Rangers team is gradually being depleted both in quantity and in quality. The Flying Antelopes have recently annonced that Super Eagles winger Ejike Uzoenyi is set to join French Ligue 1 club, Rennes on a six months loan. Ejike has been training alone since he returned to the Nkpokiti camp of the Enugu-based club.
