The league, that has now been renamed Nigeria Professional Football League from the popular Nigeria Premier League (NPL) is now expected to kick off on March 9.
Preparations
Rangers have been putting finishing touches to their pre-season preparation with many friendlies being played already, as they prepare to host Enyimba at the Nnamdi Azikiwe stadium in Enugu.
The Okey Emordi handled side defeated Nigeria National U20 side two times in a friendly, and will tackle Sporting Principe in their first round of the 2013 CAF Champions League in Enugu on Sunday.
Little has been happening in Enyimba, with a few players being recruited, but the people’s Elephant have been preparing under-ground.
Both sides
Any clash between both sides have always been a tough one, this one on March 9 is unique because it’s a league opener.
Rangers is expected to be in good shape to win the tie following their recent form, but Enyimba can not be underrated.
