Enugu Rangers have lost the services of some of their key players ahead of the resumption of the new season.
The Enugu Rangers team is gradually being depleted both
in quantity and in quality. The Flying Antelopes have recently annonced
that Super Eagles winger Ejike Uzoenyi is set to join French Ligue 1
club, Rennes on a six months loan.Ejike has been training alone since he returned to the Nkpokiti camp of the Enugu-based club.
The club has also been further depleted by the call-up of four of their players in the Nigeria Under-20 team that departed for Egypt on monday. The players include burly striker Alhaji Gero, Seun Taro, Emmanuel Daniel and pacy winger Nzube Anazemba, who was signed as a direct replacement for Uzoenyi.
The club have further announced that Ifeanyi Edeh has secured a contract with an unnamed Israeli club. The left-footed striker joined Rangers from Enyimba last season.
Rangers will host Enyimba in an Oriental Derby in the opening week of the Nigeria Premier League, which kicks off on March 9.
